Whatever, the weather is a short play set in a modern-day American newsroom.

 

British weatherman Terry tries to warn news anchors Jessica and James about an impending, "biblical" storm. The anchors, however, are preoccupied with their personal lives, interviewing guests like chainsaw athlete Debbie Dicer and festival organiser Sarah Slicer , and promoting the Annual Diesel Chainsaw Festival.

 

Terry's attempts to link the severe weather to "climate change" are met with resistance from the anchors and director Lisa, who fears losing sponsorship. The play culminates in chaos as the storm hits the studio.
